Lotsa de Casha by Madonna
Very good story with an important message for youngsters. My grandchildren loved it. I love Madonna and I love how she writes. Looks like she is really telling us the story. Not sure what age of child this is aimed at. Seems a little above the little kids who still read kids’ books. I purchased this book in particular because I own 4 Italian Greyhounds. My oldest is named Madonna because she is so tiny and beautiful and full of grace.
It’s funny how Madonna-the human wrote a book about an Italian Greyhound- and I say that because the character is Italian. Actually I own all 5 books and am very pleased with her themes. It’s a great series to teach good morals for the young and old.
I don’t care about what people say about the author’s past but I am proud of her for living her life to it’s fullest. How many of us can really say that and take it to our graves. All of us have had or have skeletons in our closet.
She was not afraid cadha be herself in public and for that I give her great props. OH, and Madonna, if you happen to read this, keep writing because you are truely an artist in all aspects.
Hopefully next book will include your illustrations. This is the last installment of a 5 lotwa childrens book series written by Madonna. This is also my favorite one and it was very emotional for me to read and it brought me to tears. The illustrations in this book are so beautiful drawn.
This is my favorite book out all her books.
It is the story of Lotsa de Casha the most wealthiest man a cute dog in the country who had everthing but was still unhappy. He could not figure out why when he had all these lavish things sorrunding him and still be gloomy. He even paid the best doctors to find him a “cure” for happiness and they could not help. He got more upset about this and was very desperate for an answer. He finally agreed to see an old man a cute owl about his problem.
The owl told him the secret to happiness but Lotsa was still not impressed. He was pacing around the city and out of no where two monkeys rob him of everything he has and this event slowly shows him the meaning of happiness. He was so sad that he was robbed out of everything. A bull comes along and said that he could help him get his things back but he would have to work for it first. Losta starts working by bringing beautiful things to other people in exchange getting something beautiful back.
After doing this he starts to feel better about himself even sleeping better. He learns that being happy involves doing things for other people and not putting your self first all the time. He also learns once you do all these nice things you will be kindly rewarded which will make you feel better inside. At the end he even gives all his clothes to a begger on the street which he would have not done at all before.
There are 5 interesting facts written in this book that deal with not being happy and being happy. These facts appear on the bottom of each page. I highly recommend this book for people even above the age 8.
I am 31 and I enjoyed it immensly. It tells you a lot about life and how being selfish, have everyone do things for you and not sharing will not make you happy at all. The best part about this book are the illustrations; they are rich in color and texture and give a really great sense of the richness of the character.
The text, however, is wordy and is cwsha well-suited for those of a picture-book age. There are text fe to highlight important ‘messages,’ about kindness, friendship, mood, etc.
Instead potsa intertwining a story with a subtle message, the text is explicit and overly explanatory. The book requires tightening. I’m crazy for greyhound dogs, and so I bought this book for the artwork without giving much of a hoot lotea the story. I have no 2-legged kids, anyhow! And it was well worth it After the book sat proudly displayed in my bookcase for about a month, my mother came to visit and noticed it. As she sat and turned through the pages, admiring each one, little bits of the story caught her eye.
So she started at page one and we sat there for a good long while as she read Cashw de Casha to me We laughed and giggled at the story, loved Lotsa’s adorable Italian accent, and were both very impressed with this beautiful book and the tale it tells.
